There are waterfalls in Chiang Rai and there’s Khun Korn Waterfall. Located in Lam Nam Kok National Park (30 km from the city), this 70-meter waterfall is bound to melt your heart away.
Hiking to the waterfall from the parking lot means navigating 1.4 km of lush, beautiful rainforest terrain. It’s worth it, though! Hands down, it’s a slice of heaven, with all the tall bamboo trees on the side and butterflies and birds happily flying about.
You’ve got to look forward to reaching the foot of the falls. There’s an approximately half-a-waist deep green pool that’s just perfect for everyone to wade into—it’s the perfect escape!
